Hoverfly Technologies Welcomes Security Industry Innovator to Executive Team
Lew Pincus to Advance Drone System Solutions in Public Safety and Security Markets
Orlando, FL – (November 20, 2017) – Hoverfly Technologies Inc., the leader in tether-powered aerial drone systems, is pleased to announce it has hired Lewis Pincus as Senior Vice President of System Solutions. He is responsible for leading strategic marketing and sales of Hoverfly’s LiveSky and BigSky tether-powered persistent aerial surveillance and communication systems.
“We are delighted to have Mr. Pincus join our team. He has a unique understanding of the industrial security and public safety markets and has a great reputation for delivering advanced technology solutions that give customers a competitive advantage” says Hoverfly CEO, Rob Topping.
Lew Pincus joined Hoverfly Technologies, Inc. to bring tether-powered drone solutions to the security industry and by integrating LiveSky and BigSky products with existing fixed infrastructure to offer a persistent aerial view from above; detecting danger at a longer distance than fixed cameras on buildings or poles. According to Rob Topping, “since Lew’s introduction to Hoverfly at the ASIS show this year in Dallas, he has already helped us partner with leading security companies so our products integrate with their technology on a plug-and-play basis. His prior experience is a great fit for Hoverfly’s vision to use power-tethered drones to replace aerostats, pole-cameras, and short-duration, battery-powered drones that have limited utility in the security industry because of short flight times.
“I am delighted to be on the leading edge of Hoverfly’s incredible technology that will no doubt save lives and improve operations in public safety and security markets, protecting people, property and valuable assets” said Pincus. Lew has devoted his career to listening to the “voice of the customer” and looking through the customer’s lens to better understand how to solve problems by leveraging disruptive technologies like autonomous robots and combining people, processes and technology to drive better, faster, cheaper and more innovative solutions.
Prior to joining Hoverfly Technologies Lew was the CEO of a robotics company where he worked with security customers and engineers to develop one of the world’s first fully autonomous indoor security robots. Prior to that Mr. Pincus spent more than six years working for the world’s largest security provider, G4S as Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.
